Coffee on Leadership and WiLD Leaders invite you to kickstart to your personal and professional development on Janaury 23rd at Whimsy Pasadena, with a focus on whole leader development and how you can leverage your strengths in your career, life, and relationships. All participants will have the opportunity to complete a WiLD Profile assessment prior to the event so that our workshop will give you even deeper insights and direction in your character, developmental readiness index, organizational context, a strategic emotional profile, and facilitators will take you through reflection and action steps to guide your leadership journey.
Facilitators, Chaili Trentham and Megan Lawrence, bring combined experience in leadership and organizational psychology in higher education and business, and are passionate about building opportunities for learning and career growth for individuals, entrepreneurs, and organizations. You will walk away with tangible resources, connections, and motivation to take on your development in 2020.

Intro to Copperplate Calligraphy

In this introductory workshop for pointed pen calligraphy students will learn the essential concepts of calligraphy and build a solid base to write with an oblique dip pen and a flexible nib. They will acquire an understanding of the main tools and proper techniques. Traditional copperplate lowercase and uppercase alphabets will be covered in this 6 hrs. workshop and students will be able to practice on their own with the kit provided to take home.
This is a really fun, no-pressure workshop for anyone interested in learning a new skill, picking up a fun hobby, artist looking to try a new technique/medium, or just something fun to do with friends. Suitable for beginners, those who have never picked up a calligraphy pen before, or if it's been a while and you want to brush up on your skills and learn the proper techniques.

Would you like to learn how to decorate an envelope? Perhaps reinvent yourself as a hand lettering artist? Do you want to learn how to design wedding envelopes or for other events like baby showers? Or you just want to send out your Valentine's cards inside beautifully designed envelopes with a flair? Then this is the class for you!
This class is for beginners, you will learn:
• QUICK HAND LETTERING in order to make your envelopes look amazing! We'll do these with tombow brushes, it will be so much fun!
• You will learn to decorate your envelopes
All materials will be provided plus you will get a beautiful booklet of vintage stickers

Make Your Own Notebook Workshop
Monday, February 10, 6pm - 9pm
We will meet at Whimsy Pasadena, where you will make your own case bound notebook in a three hour session.
You will start by deciding what type of notebook you want to make; ruled, blank, squared or dotted notebook. Then you will choose all the materials for your notebook; fabrics, cardboard, ribbon, and headbands. I will guide you through the process of bookbinding: from sewing the booklets together, all the way to pasting your "text block" to the cover.
At the end of the session you will walk out with a finished notebook totally made by you, and you can start using it right away.
Valentine's Day Paint and Sip

Paint and sip while painting notes of love. This is a great and fun stress-free idea for the perfect date!
2 hour course lead by an expert artist from Italy to guide you through the creation of a painting.
HOW IT WORKS:
The couple will create together one painting made of two paintings/two canvases: each partner will paint on an individual canvas that will be the matching half to their partner's painting, and viceversa.
No experience needed. All supplies are provided. Release your creativity while the instructor will guide you step by step through the creation of the painting.

Beginner's Modern Brush Lettering Workshop
Sunday, March 8, 2-5pm
The overall purpose of this workshop is to help you get started with your lettering journey by reviewing all the lettering drills and techniques step-by-step.
During this 3-hour workshop experience, you will not only learn the basics and drills of modern brush lettering, but the following topics will also be covered:
- Ways to hold your brush pen
- The tools to help you get started
- Differing pressure levels with brush pens
- Differences between brush pens (small vs large brush pens)
- Common practice drills and drawing each letter with intention
- The faux calligraphy process
- Connecting letters
- Guidance on achieving bouncy lettering
- Guidance on achieving different styles
- Understanding different brush pens by testing over 20 different brands
As a class, we will be able to practice a few uppercase and lowercase letters by breaking down the connections of each letter in a word. We will also be writing a few words such as "hello," "love," and "joy." This workshop is all about understanding and dabbling into multiple, but common topics of brush lettering.

In this laid back setting, you will learn how to prepare, measure and mix delicious spring inspired sips with fruits, herbs and quality spirits. Professional bar tools will be provided during the workshop!
